It took me quite a while, but I've read your book using Google-translate. As a historian I am quite impressed, because you really have put in a lot of effort to retrieve all the information from the archives. In many cases when people tried to emigrate during the war it lead to nothing, and that makes this story so unique. And as an interested reader I am impressed because the story reads like a novel, and it surely is no fiction, but hard, historical facts. Looking back it is almost incredible how blind governments were for the position of Jewish refugees and how harsh they were (mis)treated. Your book gives a lot of insight, both in the hearts and minds of the refugees and in the bureaucratic process they were subjected too.
